Biography

Nine months after receiving my PhD in the Department of Physiology, I joined the undergraduate Physiology teaching staff in 2007 and haven’t looked back since.  Teaching is my passion, and I have enjoyed working with students at every age level – from teaching in a Freshman seminar course all the way to teaching first year graduate and medical students.  These days, I split my time between teaching in the Physiology 335 and 435 courses, working as an Integrated Block Leader for the Phase 1 Body in Balance Block of the ForWard curriculum at the UWSMPH, and serving as a blended learning consultant for Phase 3 Basic Science Selective courses of the ForWard curriculum at the UWSMPH.  When I am not busy with curricular development or teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Jeremy, and our two sons, Cameron and Chase.  Our favorite family activity is spending time together at our cabin in Northern Wisconsin.
