The Department of Kinesiology is actively seeking gifts in a number of areas. We deeply appreciate support from our alumni and friends, and every gift — no matter its size — makes a meaningful difference.
Each year, private gifts support original projects within the Department of Kinesiology related to: research, outreach, special seminars and speakers, professional development, as well as building projects. The new Montoye-Nagle and Safrit lecture series are projects we hope will receive ongoing support.
Through the generosity of private gifts, the department is able to award multiple undergraduate and graduate scholarships. Each scholarship reflects the particular interests of its donor.
Named endowed funds, endowed scholarships, and endowed professorships are central to our fundraising efforts. Endowments can provide guaranteed funds to support scholarships, research, and instructional activities. If you have an interest in a named fund, please contact Betsy Burns at the UW Foundation.
