Preceptor of the Year: Toni Gillette
Toni received her bachelors in Occupational Therapy from Mount Mary College in 1995 and her masters in Management and Organizational Behavior from Silver Lake College in 1999. She has been working full time as an occupational therapist at Froedtert Hospital since January, 1996. Froedtert offered her the opportunity to work with a variety of diagnosis including traumatic and non-traumatic neurological impairments, orthopedic injury, joint replacements, deconditioning and, most recently, spinal cord injury. She is one of the staff members involved with the aquatic therapy program that provides her with an alternative media and setting in which her patients can progress.
“I am thrilled to take on level I and II students because their bright minds and fresh ideas bring so much to the therapy department and they are so receptive to why occupational therapy means so much to me!”
